An associate in the Trusts and Estates, Corporate, and Taxation practice groups, Andrea works with business owners and entities advising on entity formation, organizational structure, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and equity owner agreements. She is a client advocate, whether by negotiating terms of a deal, strategizing to obtain optimal bottom line return for clients taking into account tax effects, or drafting business transactional documents to accomplish their goals.
Andrea works with individuals to establish or amend their estate plan, keeping in mind tax planning and family dynamics. Her clients range from those with high net worth, where planning can achieve wealth preservation, to young families with minor children, where planning can ensure family security.
Andrea received both her J.D. (cum laude) and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, she received Book Awards in State and Local Taxation, Income Tax of Estates and Trusts, Legal Drafting, and Criminal Law. On the Dean's List during all six semesters of law school, Andrea also worked as a research assistant, student assistant, campus diplomat, and had two Summer Associate positions, one in Shumaker's Tampa office.
In her free time, Andrea loves to travel and enjoys doing any outdoor activity, including running and fishing. A native Floridian, she grew up fishing and her greatest catch to date has been a blue marlin.
