Known for her accessibility and straightforward approach, Emily is committed to achieving her clients’ business goals. She is an employee compensation and benefits lawyer who handles:

  • issues in connection with multiemployer retirement and health and welfare plans
  • fiduciary compliance
  • matters related to benefit plan audit and correction with the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor
  • advising benefit plan representatives on operational and maintenance requirements

Emily graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in English Language and Literature. After graduating from Michigan, she spent time working as an English teacher, and she was an active member of her Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan communities. Through Emily's community involvement, she was inspired to pursue a career as a lawyer. She received her law degree and graduated magna cum laude from The University of Toledo College of Law. While in law school, Emily was the Executive Articles Editor of the University of Toledo Law Review, and she received the Dean’s Award for distinguished achievement and service.
